‘Unbalanced’ initially was my response to climate change, hence the ice blue colour. Creating dimples from the surface to signify the disappearing icebergs. Shortly after this piece was started we entered into lockdown due to Covid 19. Life as I knew it was turned upside down and inside out! Working on unbalanced during lockdown became my saviour, hooked to news and health officials updates as I stitched away I realised it sums up how a lot of us were feeling. It took approx. 50,000m of thread (no fabric) and a lot of time patience to complete!
